KSCE - TV - 38 Christian Television for El Paso, Las Cruces and Cd. Juarez
Channel 38 * Cable 16 * Satellite 38 Grace Rendall KSCE General Manager |
|
A Message From the General Manager.... Almighty God has given KSCE Christian Television to the El Paso, Las Cruces, Cd. Juarez region; and has established it as a vehicle to proclaim His Gospel of Salvation: redemption and eternal life through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will soon return to earth in power and glory. KSCE’s written purpose is to “prepare the way of the Lord and make a straight path in the desert for His feet.” (Is. 40:3, which is also repeated in the four Gospels.)
The Scripture passage from Isaiah 40: 3-10 provides a vivid picture and outline of the role that God has given to KSCE for our region. It is one of broadcasting the pure truth of Scripture; of calling people back from the deception of the world to the light and love of God; of reaching the lost with the good news of forgiveness, cleansing of sin, and eternal life through Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection; of abundant life through obeying His commandments; and of God’s just retribution to the rebellious. It is the role of being both salt and light to our multi-cultural community, and of influencing this border area with righteousness and hope.*
Below are thoughts as to how KSCE follows the model given in Isaiah 40: 3-10.
Is. 40: 3 - The Voice of one calling in the wilderness: “Prepare ye the Way of the Lord! In the desert make a straight Highway for our God” · God’s grace has established KSCE Christian Television to broadcast over our desert wilderness area the life transforming Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to win souls to Jesus, thus preparing our community for His soon return.
Is. 40: 4 - Every valley shall be raised up, every high place brought low, the crooked made straight, and the rough places smooth. · As lives are transformed, the crooked is made straight, the proud humble themselves before the Lord, wrongs are made right, and righteousness is exalted.
Is. 40: 5 – The glory of the Lord will be revealed and everyone will see it together. The mouth of the Lord has spoken! · Although this prophetic reference is to Christ’s first and second comings, it can be applied today. Certainly, when believers exalt the Lord, others see Him. When KSCE glorifies the Lord Jesus and proclaims His truth, the people that live in this area see it – thousands at the same time. Jesus said that if He is lifted up, He will draw all men unto Him.
Is. 40: 6-8 – All flesh is grass and the grass withers; surely people are as grass…. · Life is short and all people have only an allotted time to make a decision for Christ. As believers, our lives will soon be over, and only what is done for Christ will last. This is a sober reminder for those who minister through KSCE, as well as for our viewers and the believers of our community.
Is. 40: 8 – The Word of our God stands forever! · The message that we proclaim is true and sure; and while we will one day die, God’s promises will stand forever. This is our message of Eternal Life through Jesus Christ our Lord. “Look to Jesus, now, and live!”
Is. 40: 9 – Oh, you who bring good news, get yourself up onto the high mountain; lift up your voice and shout as loudly as you can to your cities, and without fear. See! Here is your God!” · KSCE’s job, on Ranger Peak, is to broadcast from the top of our tower that Jesus Christ is Lord! The message may not be received by all who hear, but we are to be fearless in our proclamation of the truth of God’s Word: time is short and everyone must prepare to meet his God. We are to be fearless in proclaiming that there is only one God… and one salvation… through the Man Christ Jesus! “For there is no other Name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.”
Is. 40: 10 – Pay attention! The Lord God will come with might and power to rule. Pay attention! He brings with Him, His retribution of punishment to the wicked, and the fulfillment of His promises to His people (righteous ones).
Our hope is that our Christian Community will recognize the urgency of these days in which we live, and will understand the mandate that the Lord has given this Christian television station: that it is His gift to our region to be used as an instrument to bring in His Harvest, and to prepare for the coming of His Kingdom.
